The Weaver Craft held their Annual Supper and AGM at the Weavers Room in Verdant Works on Friday 11th October. Deacon Richard Irvine welcomed Craft members, guests and speakers to another evening of fine dining and bonhomie. Guest speaker, Alison Burns gave the Toast to the Weaver Incorporation of Dundee. Alison, amongst a number of other professional skills, is a well known and successful jazz singer and she took the audience on a fantastic journey of her career from Dundee to The Royal Albert Hall. New Craft member, Craig Clements was introduced by Boxmaster Sheena Devlin and newly appointed Deacon Convenor, John Fyffe MBE gave his first report to the Weavers outlining his ambitions for the Nine Trades over the next two years. Deacon Irvine presented an honoury award to Past Deacon, Ken Andrew for his services to the Weaver Craft Committee over many years. Craftswoman Liz Bacon, Principal of Abertay University, gave the Vote of Thanks.
