Deacon Paul Leigh and Boxmaster Richard Irvine had the pleasure to attend the VIP preview of the 2022 Degree Show at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art to judge the prize-winners on the Textile Design degree programme. The standard of this year’s graduates was very high, which made the process of selecting the three prize-winner extremely challenging. However, Paul and Richard managed to create a shortlist and the following prizes were awarded:
1st Prize, and winning £300 was Elisha Marie Peralta, (Pictured), with “Interwoven: The Modern Bauhaus Project” – a collection of digitally printed interior textiles taking inspiration from the Bauhaus project.
2nd Prize and winning £200 was Emily Downing, with a collection of captivating, hand painted silk scarves, created to start conversations and raise awareness.
3rd Prize and winning £150 was Claire Maura Senior, with “Upstalgia”, which analysed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in an interior environment.
Congratulations to all the students!
