Friday 21st October 2022 was an historic evening for the Nine Trades at an event held at Verdant Works in the Weavers Room. We are proud to announce that The Glovers have become an open craft ready to welcome new members. The Craft have records going back over 500 years including the Locket book that new members signed after a short ceremony presided over by the newly appointed Deacon, Iain Murray. Deacon Murray said, ‘This is a very special moment for the Nine Trades, to breathe fresh life into an honourable Craft and to look forward to making new connections within the City, creating an exciting future not only for the Craft but The Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee’.
