The Bonnetmakers are raising money for Big Noise Douglas, Tuesday 18th June in the Fort Bar, Broughty Ferry at 7.30 pm. Following the success of last year’s event, where we raised approximately £500 for the charity, we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to further support this worthy cause.
Big Noise is a high-quality music education and social change programme, delivered by the charity Sistema Scotland, that works intensively with children, young people and families in underprivileged areas of Scotland. Big Noise uses the symphony orchestra as a community through which children gain an invaluable range of life skills and experiences. They develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, pride and aspiration as well as the capacity to work hard, supporting them to reach their potential and lead successful and fulfilled lives.
We encourage all Craft Members to attend and invite as many friends as possible to support this local cause. We suggest forming teams of 3, 4, or 5 members to compete against each other. The participation fee is £5 per person, with proceeds directed to the charity. Additionally, we will organise a raffle and kindly request attendees to bring a prize for inclusion in the raffle pool. Contributions for potential auction items on the night are also appreciated. We eagerly anticipate your presence on the evening of the 18th of June at 7.30pm, confident that it will be another enjoyable and rewarding experience as we come together to support our local community.
Please contact Chris Todd enabling us to manage attendance effectively.
