‘Wrighting Wrongs – the story of a Dundee dynasty’ is a commemorative heirloom volume that will be published in September 2025 to celebrate the lives of Frances Wright and her family in Dundee and the USA from the 1720s –1880s. Her father, James Wright junior, is the foremost Scottish designer of 18th century provincial coins.

Written, designed and printed in Dundee, the volume will contain 160 profusely illustrated A4 pages, stitched and casebound, and limited to a maximum 400 subscriber copies. The cost is £37.50 (international £70.00), inclusive of postage. All nett proceeds from book sales and sponsorship will be donated to support local Dundee charities.

Purchasers

Until 1st August 2025, every purchaser of ‘Wrighting Wrongs’ can have their name and town/city entered on a Subscribers’ Page in the book, leaving their own mark on Dundee history.
