The Annual Stated Meeting was held on Tuesday 1st October at the City Chambers. The well attended event saw the passing over of the Deacon Convener’s chain of office from The Late Deacon Convener, Raymond Edwards to the newly instated Deacon Convener, John Fyffe MBE. Past Deacon of the Weavers, Paul Leigh was made Collector for the Nine Incorporated Trades and will work closely with Deacon Convener Fyffe. Lord Provost Bill Campbell thanked Ray for his hard work and dedication to the role and looked forward to continuing the strong relationship established over the past two years.
